The Greenbrier River is located in southeastern WV. It is 173 miles long and drains 1,656 square miles. At it's mountain source it is 3,746 feet in elevation and at it's mouth at the New River it is 1,365 feet where it provides 30% of the New River water volume. The Greenbrier is paralleled by a 78 mile rail trail, the Greenbrier River Trail, which is a popular recreation destination. The "Seneca Trail" also known as the great Indian warpath utilized this river. This gallery provides a glimpse of the Greenbrier, the longest unblocked river in the Eastern USA.
